Here is a really great e-mail I received in Jan 1998. The text has been slightly reformatted to fit your screen ;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Subject: LCPro Codes Date: Wed, 28 Jan 1998 13:22:20 -0500 (EST) From: FATH0M Organization: AOL (http://www.aol.com) To: alsplace@pobox.com, egold@mailexcite.com, tabaug@concentric.com Players... Forward this along to any players you know... be nice and share ;^) Feel free to post anything contained here - it's for everyone's enjoyment! There are ONLY 38 codes 11 Game Codes (either 1 or 2 digit) +27 Accessory Codes (3 digit) ______ 38 Codes total ALL 4 and 5 digit codes have been found to cycle through the 27 3 digit codes... Here is what I have confirmed from Laser1(Frank)@Toymax.com... He will deny any information on the LaserChallengeProSet codes since it's Toymax's current marketing campaign... but sometimes it helps to be a pain in the ass ;^) Game # total # of 30 # of Code shots shot clips hits AutoBlast Lights Audio Time limit ------- ------- ----------- ------- ----------- ------- ------- -------------- 1 120 4 10 - + Normal - 2 60 2 5 - + Normal - 3 N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A N/A 11 120 4 10 - + Basic 10 min 12 120 4 10 - + Silent - 13 120 - 10 - + Normal - 21 120 4 10 - - Normal - 22 - - 10 - + Normal - 23 - - 10 +(Normal) + Normal - 31 120 4 10 - + Normal ? 32 120 4 10 - + Normal ? 33 120 4 10 +(Burst) + Quiet - (We haven't had the patience to check the time for all of the game modes... either 31 & 32 (or both) must be timed since they are the same game as code 1 otherwise... We prefer game mode 22... it's the most versatile - games with clips have been found to end in standoffs way to often when we play with the younger gen that refuses to conserve ammo) Code Description Dur- #of times Special Notes ation per game ------- --------------- ------- --------- ---------------- 111 Reload Clip - * *(only in clip games) limited by the number of clips 112 AutoBlast Unlimited 0 sec delay between shots 113 BlastShield 5sec 3* *(you only have 3 BlastSheilds TOTAL... any combination of 5 or 10sec) 121 MaxBlast - 2 Hits opponent for 3 shots instead of one 122 Silent Mode 5sec 1 123 Clip Status - Unlimited Displays the number of remaining clips 131 Reset Basic Set - - This code has no effect on the ProSets 132 AutoBlast 3sec 1 Continuous fire after you pull the trigger 133 AutoBlast 2 Unlimited 1 sec delay between shots 211 Disrupt 10sec 3* *(you only have 3 Disrupts TOTAL... any combination of 5 or 10sec) 212 Disrupt 5sec 3* *(you only have 3 Disrupts TOTAL... any combination of 5 or 10sec) 213 MegaBlast 10sec 1 eliminates opponent if you hit with ALL 3 shots!!! (ignores ablative) 221 Disarm* - 1 empties your opponents current clip *This code will also TURN OFF AUTOBLAST on your own set - unlimited 222 EnemyHealerShot - 1 enemy will remove 1 hit from his opponent if he hits with his next shot 223 Transfer Shield - 3* *up to the number you possess 231 XferMaxBlast - 2* *up to the number you possess 232 Xfer Disrupt - 1* *up to the number you possess 233 Transfer Heal - 1* *up to the number you possess 311 BlastShield 10sec 3* *(you only have 3 BlastShields TOTAL... any combination of 5 or 10sec) 312 Heal (1shot) - 1 313 DelayedBlast 5sec 1* *activates after your first hit Shield (does not count toward your BlastShield total) 321 Ablative 2 Shot - 1 absorbs the next two hits 322 Transfer Clip - 3* *up to the number you possess 323 AutoBlast 6sec 1 Continuous fire after you pull the trigger 331 Disable * Unlimited *Enable by pulling the trigger 332 Disable 7sec Unlimited (Automatically Enables after 7sec) 333 Disable * Unlimited *Enable by entering the code 3+3+3+E again! Note 331 - 333 are not "Temporarily Off" but more like a Disable - if you turned the set off, it would not remember your game code, # of clips, # of hits etc... These codes should only be used when time needs to be called in a game (someone getting stuck, hurt, etc...) All they do in game play is promote the classic Mexican Standoff - who is going to Enable first? 212 is actually called the "Human Target" code by Toymax - supposedly you can hit the "disrupted" target and he can not fire back... but we have not found this to be true, since the sets do not accept input when they are in the middle of a function (making noise, firing, etc... this is why you can not hit yourself with your own blasts) 211 & 212 are the same in every effect EXCEPT the duration. We have dubbed this code the "Disrupt"... since your opponent can't do anything except RUN while his ProSet goes wacky! Certain codes have a preferred order of sequence - no matter which order you punch them in. We have also found out some interesting side effects of entering multiple codes... Enter the following sequence - 321e(Ablative), 313e(DelayedBlastShiled), 121e(MaxBlast), 132e(AutoBlast 3sec) AND/OR 323e(AutoBlast 6sec), 222e(Enemy Healer)... now by pulling your trigger at the right moments you can get the ProSets timer to time the countdowns on the OTHER advantages! You'll get an extended AutoBlast and an extended BlastShield (about 15 secs each!!!) You can also get the timed Silence (122e) to last for 35sec if you punch in the right multiple codes... just experiment and you'll see the advantages! Standard TV remote controls have been found to transfer Heals and Blastshields - just experiment with your remote to see which transfers you get! For an interesting handicap, load up one team with extra shields and heals (there is no upper limit to the number of shields your set can hold that we have found). Of course you can do this by turning on and off a regular ole' ProSet, but it's much quicker with a TV remote control;^)
